Talofa lava and Greetings,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Ruapotaka Marae Kapa Haka (Auckland based indigenous performing arts group) and Haere Mai Taiko Drummers / NZ Japan Society of Auckland for their brilliant collaborative performance of Talanoa: Walk the Talk VI, a live public performance held over the opening week in association with the 4th Auckland Triennial.
The Talanoa: Walk the Talk VI performance was commissioned for the 4th Auckland Triennial and the documentation of the live performance will be screened at Artspace, a partner institution of the 4th Auckland Triennial.
Ema Tavola of Fresh Gallery Otara, a grass roots art gallery initiated and funded by the Manukau City Council to reflect the diverse and expanding community of Manukau (South Auckland), will be in conversation with me discussing the ideas emerging from Talanoa: Walk the Talk at Artspace in Auckland on 27 March 2010.
